Slack Chief Executive Officer Stewart Butterfield plans to relive the workplace messaging platform of Slack next month, parent company Salesforce Inc said this Monday. Lidiane Jones, the senior vice president of product management for Salesforce Commerce Cloud, will take over as CEO of Slack.
Popular financial news website Business Insider first broke the news. Due to this announcement, Shares of Salesforce, an associate of the Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI), slumped about 4%.
Salesforce acquired Slack last year in a nearly $28 billion deal; the Slack workplace app is famous for intra- and inter-company collaboration.
