Apple has added iPHONE 6 plus to its vintage list

According to Apple, products are added to the vintage category while Apple stops distributing them for sale more than five years ago.

If you had an Apple iPhone 6 Plus, you now have a vintage product. Apple has added the iPhone 6 Plus to its vintage list, which was introduced almost five years ago.

This indicates that the smart phone has driven its complete production cycle. Apple has introduced the iPhone 6 Plus in conjunction with the iPhone 6. The iPhone 6 Plus brings to the market larger displays from the Apple series.

Although Apple has discontinued all hardware services for damaged  products, Mac notebooks are exempt from that.

They are only eligible for the extra battery repair period. Service providers cannot order parts for damaged products.

So here the iPhone 6 Plus now joins the list of vintage iPhones like iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 4s 8GB, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 3G. Still iPhone 6 Plus holders need not worry, as Apple's authorized service providers may continue to provide repair services for the iPhone 6 Plus for up to seven years after discontinuation.

The iPhone 6 series, which includes the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, was released in September 2014. The iPhone 6 had a 4.7-inch display, while the iPhone 6 Plus had a 5.5-inch display.

The 5.5-inch display was rare then and this is the first time Apple has introduced a phone with a larger display. Apple will no longer make phones with a 5.5-inch display, but it will still have phones with a 4.7-inch display.Display of  IPhone SE 2020 is 4.7-inch.

The iPhone 6 Plus had some of the first features like the Apple A8 chipset and Apple Pay. The iPhone 6 Series has been well received in international markets. The iPhone 6 series with curved edges was featured first.

Prior to the introduction of the iPhone 6, all previous iPhones had a flat-edged design, which was reintroduced with the iPhone 12 series.
